Day 1

Eugene F. Ware once said "All glory comes from daring to begin." No, I've got no idea who that is, I just ripped it off of Google. If glory is a hot cuppa and a (single) row of Cadbury's in peace, then yep, it's all mine.

So it has begun. I may have to revise my getting up time, though - despite being out of bed early and firing on all cylinders, the kids made mincemeat of my attempt to get to work on time. Harvey threw a corker of a tanty and tried to get in the shower with me, fully clothed... I was extremely tempted to not make my bed, but the cushions looked so sad on the floor, and I figured I should at least attempt to leave the house with the mission still intact. Found a spare tablet to take, the last one, so perfect record unbroken.

Day was good. Very surprising how much work one can get done when there is no Facebook to warm up the chair with. Boss owed me lunch as thanks for me doing an unpleasant job for him on Monday, so free sushi - woo! I got into the spirit of things and even did some 'not so necessary' stuff at work.

The dog looked at me strangely when I gave him biscuits at breakfast time. I suppose it was the dog equivalent of eating cereal for dinner. Either that or he no longer recognises dog biscuits.

The plant was stunned into silence.

Feeling good - not radically different, but then, Rome wasn't built in a day. I'll keep building. :)
